Medea is an evil murderess, even a mad woman and therefore Jason is justified in his attitude towards her.

The argument which I will be writing is going to justify that Jason’s attitude towards Medea was valid. Medea is an evil murderess and a mad woman , she can do anything to prove herself.

Medea  belonged to a royal family , she was a princess in
Colchis. When she was a princess , she fell in love with a man named Jason. Medea killed her brother just to get the fleece for Jason and moved to another place ,
Corinth. Medea  and Jason had two children. In line [18] it is stated that , Jason marries the daughter of King Creon who rules the country
Corinth. Whatever she did to her brother had to come in front of her, she betrayed her brother and her husband betrayed her.  Line [36] Medea hates her children. She hates her children because she can see Jason in them. Line [88] king of Corinth wants  to exile the two children with their mother to
Athens. Medea after knowing this, pleads to Creon to spare her some time atleast a day, so that she can plan for her exile. Line [350] Creon says, “you can have an extra day.” Medea then plans to send three of her enemies to corpses , father, daughter and her husband. Line [387] Medea; I’ll murder them with poision. This really shows that Medea is an evil woman because, she has no right to take someone’s life. She could not see her husband with another woman , because of jealousy she wanted to kill them. Medea then killed Creon’s daughter and Creon. Then made up her mind to kill her sons. No matter whatever happened with her, murder does not justify any kind of action. Line [1240] I’ll do it- kill my children now, without delay. No mother can kill her children , if  Medea  thaught her children would not be safe with their father she could have taken them along to exile , rather than killing them. She was so determined to take revenge , she could do anything. Jason was astonished to know about all this, Medea did not regret on what she did , she said to Jason, [1362] there’s relief in knowing you cannot laugh at me. How wicked a person can get, killing innocent people and still being so proud of it , this is the height of shamefulness. Jason really mourned at whatever happened and cursed Medea  for her deeds.
